Meeting Planning Account Executive

The Meeting Planning Account Executive supports the Meeting Planning Business Unit as a liaison to the internal client team to ensure the contract is being fulfilled to the client’s expectations. The Account Executive will have a high-level of experience in both tangible and intangible areas of focus, they will work with client team to build strategic plans. Account Executive will also be managing the planning of executive level meetings and/or project manage large scale meetings with support from planners or coordinators.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities

· Involved in sale, upselling during contract discussions with clients and project renewals

· Builds and maintains long-term client relationships associated with all projects operated by team

· Functions as main client contact and responsible for project onboarding

· Contract/Statement of Work facilitation with client and team

· Tracking of cost savings realized for final reporting

· Invoicing – distribution to clients, follow-up on past-due invoices

· Responsible for client communication on multiple projects within an account

· Liaison with internal departments for project execution

· Provide pre-planning and project management support as needed

· Work with client and internal team to establish initial budget and project timeline

· Assign team members and tasks to projects

· Coordinate project wrap-up documentation and reconciliation

· Final review of client project files to ensure historical tracking

· Responsible for keeping up to date client records

· Other duties as assigned



· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

· CMP or CMM designation preferred

· 8+ years of meeting management or hospitality management experience

· Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize

· Strong leadership skills

· Strategic decision-making ability

· Strong project and team management skills

· Ability to clearly communicate the client’s vision to the internal team



· Ability to travel at least 30%

· Ability to lift up to 20lbs
